Realme Band to arrive with IP68 rating and a large colour display

Realme is gearing up to unveil its first fitness band in India on March 5. The company has been teasing the device for quite a while now. A few days ago, Realme also announced that it will launch the Realme 6 series at the same event. Now the smartphone maker has put up a dedicated event page revealing key specifications and features of its upcoming fitness band. It gives us a glimpse at what to expect from the wearable device. 

Realme Band specifications:

The Realme Band is confirmed to arrive in three colour options – Yellow, Black and Green. The device will feature a large curved OLED display with a small home button at the bottom of the screen. The upcoming fitness band will be equipped with an IP68 rating against dust and water resistance. The Realme Band features a plug-and-charge design that allows users to remove one strap and plug it into a USB port directly. 

The Realme Band will arrive with a host of fitness-related features. It will be equipped with a heart rate sensor, sleep quality monitor, calories burnt and steps counter. The fitness band offers support for nine sports mode including biking, running, walking, hiking, climbing, yoga, fitness, spinning and cricket. Realme says that the cricket mode is specially made for the Indian audience. The Realme Band will connect to compatible devices using the companion Realme Link app that acts as a central hub for the brand’s devices.

The Realme Band also packs convenient features like incoming calls, messages, reminders, music control and more. The device will support Bluetooth connectivity. 

Realme Band pricing & availability:

We will know about the pricing and availability of the Realme Band at the launch event next week. The fitness band will compete against Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4 and Honor Band series in India.
