- Redmi 10 launch date for India has been confirmed
- Its landing page showing its key features and design is now live
- It will be succeeding the Redmi 9 from last year
Redmi 10 India launch date has been confirmed. The moniker of the device suggests that it will be positioned lower than the Redmi 10 Prime that debuted last year in India. The handset will be succeeding the well-received Redmi 9, which was fuelled by the Helio G80 chipset.
Xiaomi has already released the Redmi 10 (a scaled-down version of the Redmi 10 Prime) in global markets. However, the Redmi 10 heading to India appears to be a different device. The official teasers show that it is equipped with a big screen, a large battery, a Snapdragon chip, and a 50-megapixel main camera.
Redmi 10 India launch: what to expect
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi will be announcing the Redmi 10 on March 17th, 2022. The landing page of the phone is now live on Xiaomi India’s website. It reveals that the Redmi 10 has a waterdrop notch screen with a noticeable chin.
The rear side of the device has a textured design with a smudge-free finish. It is fitted with a square-shaped camera module, which houses a dual-camera setup, an LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner. As can be seen in the image below, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera.
The Redmi 10 is powered by an unnamed 6nm Snapdragon chipset and has a big-sized battery. Thankfully, it comes with support for fast charging. It appears that the company will confirm more details about the Redmi 10 in the next few days before the launch.
In related news, Redmi India recently launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G in India. These phones are powered by the Helio G96 and Snapdragon 695 chipsets, respectively. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Note 11 Pro starts at Rs 17,999, whereas the Note 11 Pro+ 5G carries a starting price of Rs 20,999.
