Redmi 10 Prime could launch in India as a rebranded Redmi 10

The Redmi 10 Prime India launch could be nearing. Recently, a Xiaomi phone with model number M21061119BI was seen at the IMEI database. The listing revealed that the device’s marketing name is Redmi 10 Prime. The letter “I” present at the end of the model number hints that it is an Indian variant of the smartphone.

According to a tipster Kacper Skrzypek, who is known for finding details of upcoming Xiaomi phones through MIUI codes, the Redmi 10 Prime for India will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 10, which recently debuted in the global markets. While Xiaomi India has not yet confirmed the launch of the Redmi 10 series in the country, it appears that its launch could be a couple of weeks away.

Redmi 10 Prime specifications and features (expected)

Considering that the Redmi 10 Prime for India will be a rebadged version of the global Redmi 10, it is expected to arrive with identical specs. The Redmi 10 Prime could feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD 90Hz screen that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. It may offer a 13MP front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) quad-camera unit.

The Helio G88 may power the Redmi 10 Prime with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It may house a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. It will run MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It may come in colours like Carbon Grey, Pebble White, and Sea Blue.

The Redmi 9 series debuted in August last year. Hence, it appears that the India launch of the Redmi 10 series may not be far away.
