Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G have been launched in India. While the 4G variant has been available in other markets like China and Thailand, the 5G variant has made its global debut today alongside its India launch.

The Redmi 12 is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12R, which debuted in June in China. It is the world’s first phone to feature the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G feature a 90Hz display, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and a big battery with fast charging support. The Redmi 12 5G comes in three configurations, such as 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It can be bought in three colours, such as Jade Black, Pastel Blue, and Moonlight Silver.

Redmi 12 5G, Redmi 11 5G first sale date, launch offers

The Redmi 12 5G will be available for purchase through Amazon, whereas the 4G model will be sold through Flipkart as well as Amazon. Both phones will be also sold through Mi.com, Mi Stores, and offline retailers across the country. The first sale of both phones will be carried out at 12 pm on August 4th, 2023.

The Redmi 12 5G has a 6.79-inch IPS LCD punch-hole display with a tall aspect ratio of 20.5:9. It offers an FHD+ resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and its rear shell has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro snapper, and an LED flash. It features the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB / 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The Redmi 12 4G has the same 6.79-inch LCD FHD+ 90Hz screen that is available on its 5G version. It is fitted with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system on the back. The device comes with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

The Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. Both models offer common features, such as MIUI 14-based Android 13, a dual SIM slot with support for a microSD card, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
