Redmi 12C’s global version, which has the model number 22120RN86G, has appeared on Geekbench. The listing has revealed the Android version, chipset, and RAM capacity of the device.
The Redmi 12C went official in December 2022 in China. According to leaked information from last month, the device will be available in both the global and Indian markets. The global edition was said to pack the same specs as the Chinese edition and also carry support for NFC connectivity. The Indian variant may lack support for NFC. While the global version is expected to debut in February, it is unclear whether the Indian version will also be announced this month.
Redmi 12C’s global variant spotted on Geekbench
The Redmi 12C’s global version is powered by a MediaTek chipset with model number MT6769V/CZ. The SoC includes six CPU cores working at 1.80GHz and two CPU cores clocking at 2.00GHz. It is the Helio G85 chip that powers the device.
The SoC is assisted by 4GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 12. The device scored 355 and 1173 points in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, respectively.

The Redmi 12C available in China features a 6.71-inch IPS LCD waterdrop notch display that offers an HD+ resolution. It has a 5-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 0.8-megapixel (depth) dual-camera system. The handset runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 OS.
The Helio G85-powered device offers up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage in the home market. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The other features of the device include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, an IR blaster, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
