Redmi 12C India launch seems to be imminent. The reason behind it is that it has been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). At the same time, the device has also been certified by the TDRA authority.
Several reports have claimed that the Redmi 12C will launch in Europe this month. Now that it has been spotted at the BIS, it appears that it may go official as early as this month in India. The Redmi 12C offers key features, such as an HD+ display, a big battery, and a mid-range gaming processor.

The Redmi 12C has been seen with model number 22120RN86I at BIS, but in TDRA’s database, it has been seen with model number 22120RN86G. None of these listings has revealed the specifications of the device. However, the technical details of the smartphone are already known since it debuted in December 2022.

The Redmi 12C houses a 6.71-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. The device offers an HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display notch houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The textured rear panel of the Redmi 12C features a fingerprint scanner on the back, along with a dual-camera setup. A depth sensor is also present in addition to the 50-megapixel main camera.
The Helio G85 SoC is what powers the Redmi 12C under the hood. The phone comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, which is expandable up to 512GB. The device runs MIUI 13, which is overlaid on the Android 12 OS.
The Redmi 12C has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 10W charging via a microUSB 2.0 port. It offers other features like dual 4G VoLTE, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Redmi 12C price in India
The base model of the Redmi 12C, which offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, is priced at RMB 699 (~Rs 8,400) in China. It is likely to come in multiple colours, such as black, blue, mint, and violet.
