Redmi 12C India launch timeframe tipped, here’s what to expect

The Redmi 12C will be the next Redmi phone for the Indian market, claims a new report by 91mobiles. Last week, the company unveiled the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The report claims that the Redmi 12C will debut in February in India.

Xiaomi will showcase the Xiaomi 13 Pro flagship phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, which is scheduled to take place between February 27th and March 2nd, 2023. The report claims that the Redmi 12C will be unveiled before MWC 2023. The specifications of the device are already known since it was recently launched in China.

Redmi 12C has a 5,000mAh battery

The Redmi 12C is fitted with a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It will offer an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1650 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The Helio G85 is at the helm of the device. The Chinese edition of the 12C offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. There is a dedicated slot onboard for additional storage.

The 12C has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and its back panel has a 50-megapixel (main) + 0.08-megapixel (depth) dual-camera system. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear shell of the 12C. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.

The Redmi 12C is expected to be released in the global market as well.The Indian and global editions of the phone are likely to have only one difference. The India model is unlikely to offer NFC connectivity, while its global edition will support it.

Poco C55 could be rebranded Redmi 12C

According to a recent report, the Poco C55 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C. It is unclear whether the C55 will be launched in India.
