Redmi 12C variants have been approved by certification bodies like Global Certification Forum (GCF) and Bluetooth SIG. To recall, the Redmi 12C, which has a model number of 22120RN86C, was announced in December 2022 in China. Now, the Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is reportedly gearing up to launch the smartphone in multiple markets outside of China, including India.
Some reports have claimed that the Redmi 12C will debut soon in the global market. The GCF and Bluetooth SIG certifications are good hints that suggest that the 12C will debut either this month or in April. Here is a look at the new certifications for the device.

The Redmi 12C has appeared with model numbers 2212ARNC4L, 22120RN86G, and 22126RN91Y, as well as its Chinese variant, in the database of Bluetooth SIG. At the same time, variants 2212ARNC4L and 22126RN91Y have also been approved by GCF.
The specifications of the Redmi 12C are already known since it debuted in China. So, the new certifications do not reveal anything new about the specs of the 12C.

The Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device features the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. The SoC is supported by 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of storage. For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot.
The 12C runs on the MIUI 13-based Android 12 OS. It has a 5-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 0.8-megapixel (depth) dual-camera system. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
