Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9 in Spain. The brand has now debuted the device in its home country. The smartphone retains the same specifications as its Spanish counterpart but comes with MIUI 12 based Android 10 and up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The Redmi 9 will follow up the Redmi 8 launched in India last October. Now a phone with the same model number as the Redmi 9 (M2004J19I) has been spotted on the BIS as well as TUV Rheinland certification website. Interestingly, it has been listed under the POCO brand, which indicates that the phone could launch under POCO branding in India. If that is the case, it would be the most affordable POCO phone launched yet.
