Redmi 9 Power 6GB RAM and 128GB storage launched in India: price, specifications

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi 9 Power mid-range phone back in December 2020. At that time, the company announced it in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. Today, it announced the arrival of the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version of the Redmi 9 Power.

The Redmi 9 Power is the most powerful smartphone in the Redmi 9 series, which includes phones like the Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9, Redmi 9i, and Redmi 9A. The phone comes with some exciting features such as a large-sized screen, a decent processor, big built-in storage, and a huge battery with fast charging support.

The Redmi 9 Power is now available in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage edition

The newly introduced 6GB RAM edition of the Redmi 9 Power comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It has arrived with a price tag of Rs 12,999. The existing variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB (UFS 2.1) storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB (UFS 2.2) storage are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively.

The new variant comes in colours like Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, and Electric Green. It is now available for purchase through Mi.com, Him Home stores, Mi Studios, and Amazon India. It will also be available at offline retailers soon.

Redmi 9 Power specifications and features

The Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. It produces Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The screen comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Snapdragon 662 chipset fuels the device with LPPDR4x RAM. Apart from UFS 2.1 / UFS 2.2 storage, the Redmi 9 Power features a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The Redmi 9 Power has a 6,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W charging. It has an 8MP selfie snapper and its rear camera setup has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a pair of 2-megpaixel shooters for depth and macro shots. The handset has other features like a side-mounted fingerprint reader, AI face unlock and reverse charging support.
