Redmi 9 Power launch date (Rumoured)

Redmi 9 Power teaser-

The landing page for the Redmi 9 Power has no information on its launch date. Reliable tipster Mukul Sharma had claimed in the previous week that the phone could be launching in India on December 15th. Now that the company has started teasing the launch of a new Redmi smartphone, it is likely that the Redmi 9 Power may go official on said date in the coming week.

A leak from last week had revealed that the Redmi 9 Power will be arriving in 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage editions. It is expected to sell in colour variants like black, blue, and green.

Redmi 9 Power specifications and features

Being a rebranded device, the Redmi 9 Power may borrow all its specs from China’s Redmi Note 9 4G. The latter features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch. It offers full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front side of the phone has Gorilla Glass 3 protection and its rear has a water-repellent coating.

The Redmi 9 Power is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It also comes with support for reverse charging. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 662 mobile platform. The phone runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10.

For selfies, the Redmi Note 9 4G has an 8-megapixel front camera. Its triple camera system has a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra0wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The FCC listing of the alleged Redmi 9 Power that was spotted recently had revealed that it will be equipped with an additional 2-megapixel macro camera.
