Redmi A1 features a leather-like rear panel

Starting from the front, the Redmi A1 can be seen sporting a punch-hole display. In all likelihood, it will be an IPS LCD panel offering an HD+ resolution. The handset does not feature a fingerprint scanner, which indicates that its users will have to rely on face unlock for biometrics.

The right edge of the Redmi A1 has a volume rocker and a power key. A speaker is available on the top edge of the phone. None of the official images shows the bottom edge of the phone. Hence, it is unclear whether the device has a USB Type-C or a microUSB port. The rear shell of the device has a leather-like finish. In its top-left corner is a dual-camera setup with a dual-LED flash.  Once announced, it will be available for purchase through Amazon India.

Redmi A1 specifications

The Redmi A1 is confirmed to feature a MediaTek chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. The alleged device was recently spotted on Geekbench with the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and Android 12 OS. The company claims that it will offer a clean OS experience, which indicates that it may not have bloatware, or it may run on Android 12 Go edition. Redmi also claims that the A1 will support digital payments as well as lightning-fast internet.

Redmi 11 Prime series

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is expected to offer key features like a 90Hz display, Dimensity 700, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Redmi 11 Prime will be equipped with the Helio G99 chipset. It is said to be a tweaked version of the POCO M5 4G, which will be announced on September 5th, 2022
