Redmi A1+ Moniker confirmed by IMEI database, clears FCC certification ahead of launch

Xiaomi appears to be readying a new entry-level smartphone for multiple markets. The smartphone is dubbed as Redmi A1+. We have been able to confirm the moniker of the phone through the IMEI database. The Redmi A1+ was also spotted on the FCC certification website. From what we have gathered from these two listings is that the smartphone carries the model number 22-733SFG. It will also be run on Android 12. Just like the other devices from Xiaomi, the phone will have a  MiUi layer. Rest of the details regarding this upcoming smartphone remains sketchy.

Xiaomi is also gearing to launch another smartphone by the name Redmi A1 and it is likely that this smartphone will be a modified/beefed-up version of the same. Redmi A1 has also been spotted in several leaks. The smartphone is expected to come with a quad-core processor, with all four cores clocked at 2GHz. The smartphone was spotted on Geekbench and the leak revealed that Redmi A1 scored 141 in the single-core round and 497 points in the multi-core segment, which further suggests this is an entry-level handset. Leaks also peg that the smartphone will run on Android 12 much like the Redmi A1+.
