Redmi A1+ has launched in India today. It arrives as an upgraded variant of the Redmi A1 that debuted in the country last month. The latest offering went official in the global market earlier this week and the Indian variant comes with the same specifications. 

The Redmi A1+ is a budget smartphone and falls under the sub-Rs 8,000 price bracket. It is said to be ‘Made in India’ as well as ‘Made for India’. Read on to know what the smartphone offers out of the box.

Redmi A1+ specifications and features 

Redmi A1 Plus

The Redmi A1+ comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display bearing an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone retains the same design as the Redmi A1 with a leather texture finish on the back panel housing a square camera module. A noticeable difference between the two devices is that the Plus variant features a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner. 

On the imaging front, the Redmi A1+ features a dual rear camera setup of an 8MP primary sensor and a QVGA lens paired with an LED flash. There is a 5MP front-facing selfie camera. 

Internally, the Redmi A1+ is powered by an Helio A22 processor. It packs up to 3GB RAM and 2GB virtual RAM. There is 32GB onboard storage expandable via a microSD card slot.  The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. It runs on Android 12 Go Edition out of the box. 

Redmi A1+ price in India

The Redmi A1+ is offered in Light Blue, Light Green, and Black colour options. It is priced at Rs 7,499  for the base 2GB + 32GB variant and the 3GB + 32GB option costs Rs 8,499. The smartphone can be purchased from Flipkart and the brand’s official website starting October 17th.
