Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop iwill launch on September 22nd in China. The Xiaomi sub-brand announced the news on its official Weibo handle. The upcoming offering will be the second-generation gaming laptop and the successor to last year’s Redmi G.
The Weibo post reads “Redmi’s brand mission is to popularize high-end products, and to be an invincible high-performance light chasing game notebook of the same grade so that every gamer who loves games can enjoy high-quality ray tracing game experience, which is the new goal of the new generation of Redmi G gaming notebook.”

The Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop’s key details remain a mystery at the moment. However, going by the brand’s Weibo post, the upcoming offering will be a lightweight gaming notebook. The device is also confirmed to come with support for Ray Tracing. The technology offers a realistic and better gaming experience.
The Redmi G 2021 is expected to be equipped with RTX 30 series GPU that consists of RTX 3050, RTX 3060, and RTX 3070. Rumours suggest that the gaming laptop will be offered in Intel and AMD Ryzen options. It is tipped to retain a 16.1-inch 1080p display with a 144Hz refresh rate from the first-generation Redmi G. Other hardware specifications are expected to include up to 64GB RAM and a 512GB SSD drive.
The first-gen Redmi G is powered by up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor paired with up to GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU. It is also equipped with a cooling system for heat dissipation. The machine is backed by a 55WHr battery unit.
