Citing data from the market research firm Canalys, Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi K20 Pro was the number one smartphone in the $300 and above price range in the third quarter of this year. Notably, the report suggests that the Redmi K20 is the bestseller in its price segment within five months of the launch. It’s worth mentioning that the company is currently offering the Redmi K20 series with a discount of Rs 2,000 during the Black Friday Sale in India. The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro’s base variants are available during the sale at the starting price of Rs 19,999 and Rs 25,999 for their base variants respectively.
Redmi K20 series specifications and features
Talking about the Redmi K20 Pro first, the flagship-grade offering features a 6.39-inch display with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, which is paired with Adreno 640 graphics, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Software-wise, the device boots the Android 9 Pie-based MIUI out of the box. Design-wise, the handset offers a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on the back, a pop-out selfie camera, and a 7th-gen in-display fingerprint sensor.
In the camera department, the Redmi K20 Pro offers a 48MP main sensor at the rear. This camera is paired with a 13MP secondary snapper and an 8MP secondary telephoto shooter. For selfies and video-calling, the handset offers a 20MP snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The connectivity features are standard including 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS. A 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support keeps the whole package running.
As for the Redmi K20, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, which is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The device has the same 4,000mAh battery, but it only supports 18W fast charging. The other specifications of the Redmi K20 are the same as the Redmi K20 Pro.
