Xiaomi Teases Redmi K20 Pro Gold Variant That Costs Rs 4.8 Lakh

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro in India tomorrow. Today, the company has teased a brand-new Gold variant of the phone on its social media channels. It has a distinct back panel with a diamond encrusted “K” embedded on the bottom right corner. The phone will cost Rs 4,80,000, according to a tweet by Manu Kumar Jain.

However, it is still unclear if this special variant will be available for buying in the market. We do not have any information about its configuration or special features yet. If the gold variant does launch tomorrow, it would become the most expensive Xiaomi phone in India.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 and K20 Pro: specifications and features

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro share many similarities including a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display panel with a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. Both the offerings lack a notch as they offer a pop-up selfie camera instead. They are also equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K20 Pro

On the performance front, the Redmi K20 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 octa-core processor while the K20 Pro relies on the premium Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset. The smartphones will sport up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. When it comes to optics, the phones are almost alike. The Redmi K20 Pro features a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor + 13MP super-wide-angle lens + 8MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The Redmi K20, on the other hand, hosts a similar set-up but the primary sensor is a Sony IMX582 lens. For selfies and video calling, they come bearing a 20MP pop-up sensor.

The devices depend on a 4,000mAh battery capacity while the Redmi K20 supports 18W Fast Charging and the Pro model supports 27W Fast Charging. The normal variants of these phones are expected to fall under the price range between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000. Are you excited about the launch of these two phones?
