Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi K30 Pro 5G in China on March 24th.To recall, the brand had launched the standard K30 in 4G and 5G versions last December. Since the announcement of the launch date, the Chinese smartphone maker has been teasing the features and specifications of its upcoming offering. Now the Xiaomi sub-brand has detailed the camera configuration of the K30 Pro 5G in a series of new teasers shared on Weibo. The teasers also confirm most of the specifications of the upcoming flagship smartphone. Xiaomi is also expected to announce RedmI K30 Pro Zoom Edition alongside the Pro variant.
We already know that the Redmi K30 Pro will sport a quad-camera setup inside a circular module. Instead of vertically stacked sensors seen on the standard K30, the sensors on the Pro model are placed side by side inside the circle. The latest teasers reveal that the upcoming smartphone will be equipped with two 64MP Sony IMX686 sensors. Out of the two, one will be a main shooter with f/1.7 aperture while the other will be a telephoto lens. According to the specs, the telephoto camera will offer 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom much like the recently launched Galaxy S20/S20+. The Redmi K30 Pro 5G will also be capable of recording 8K videos. Lastly, the new teasers show the upcoming device in Grey colour option.
Apart from the new information, the Redmi K30 Pro is confirmed to feature an AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate screen and elevating camera module. The device is expected to be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Being a flagship smartphone, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor. The device will also come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology. Other details like display size, battery capacity and charging speed are currently under wraps.
