Redmi K30 Pro 5G may launch by end March

The Redmi K20 Pro was greeted with enthusiasm in markets like China and India, and now the company is gearing up to introduce a successor that will come in the form of the Redmi K30 Pro 5G. Last month, Redmi had confirmed that it will be launching the K30 Pro in March. However, the Chinese firm hasn’t revealed an official launch date. Huawei recently confirmed that it will be launching the Huawei P40 series on March 26th. Commenting on it, Xiaomi Product Director Wang Teng Thomas hinted that the Redmi K30 Pro launch date is drawing near. A recent Weibo post from Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing suggests that the Redmi flagship will debut by the end of this month.

Weibing’s Weibo post states that the company has planned to release the Redmi K30 Pro between the launch event of the Huawei P40 series that will take place on March 26th and the forthcoming Honor 30 series that is rumoured to be break cover in April.

It appears that the Chinese firm may announce the highly-anticipated Redmi K30 Pro 5G by the end of this month in China and make it available for buying before the announcement of the Honor 30 series. Hopefully, the Redmi K30 Pro launch date will be confirmed this week.

Redmi K30 Pro specifications (rumoured)

The Redmi K30 Pro poster that the company had released last month had revealed that the new phone will be sporting a notch-less screen like its predecessor. Hence, it will be arriving with a pop-up selfie camera. Some reports have claimed that the since the Redmi K30 5G has dual front-facing cameras, the pop-up selfie camera system of the Pro model will also include two lenses.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will be fueling the Redmi K30 Pro along with LPDDR5 RAM. The handset may come with up to 512GB of native storage. The rear-facing quad camera setup of the phone is likely to include a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 lens and a telephoto lens.

The Redmi K30 Pro is expected to sport a 6.67-inch OLED full HD+ display that will be integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The device could house a 4,700mAh battery that will support 33W fast charging.
