The Redmi K30 Pro will be launched in March, confirms the company’s teaser. The teaser poster has been posted by the company on Weibo. The device comes as an upgrade to the previously launched Redmi K30 smartphone. The phone was announced with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor and the Pro version is speculated to launch with the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset. The upcoming device will also feature 5G capabilities and the teaser image has revealed the absence of a punch-hole display. This could mean that it sports a pop-up selfie camera.
Redmi K30 Pro specifications and features
The rumour mill has been revealing important information about the upcoming device for some time now. It could sport an OLED display panel against the LCD panel that Redmi K30 came with. An in-display fingerprint reader could also be in the offing, as was seen on its predecessor. As mentioned above, the Redmi K30 Pro might depend upon the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor for performance. 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1 storage can also be expected.
In addition to all this, it could host a 64MP camera configuration but the layout is expected to change. Reports have suggested a 4,700mAh battery unit with support for 33W Fast Charging. The device would run Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. Since the Redmi K30 arrived in India as the POCO X2, it is likely that its Pro version could enter the market under the POCO brand as well. However, nothing is confirmed about this and readers should take this news with a pinch of salt.
