Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to introduce its latest Redmi K series smartphone called the Redmi K30 in its home market of China at an event on December 10th. Ahead of the launch, the company has already claimed that the Redmi K30 will be the world’s first phone to utilise Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765G processor that supports 5G connectivity. The brand had also revealed the details regarding the display and camera features of the upcoming Redmi offering recently. Now, the Chinese phone maker has announced yet another key feature of the Redmi K30 smartphone.
Xiaomi has now announced that the Redmi K30 will be powered by a massive 4,500mAh battery, which will be 500mAh larger than the one on its predecessor, the Redmi K20. Notably, the smartphone will flaunt 30W fast charging technology, which is claimed to fully charge the handset in just one hour. The company says that this 30W rapid charging tech will be different from other 30W charging technologies, and it will have an independent charge pump and a charging conversion efficiency of up to 97 percent. The brand has also mentioned that the phone will have the USB Power Delivery feature as well.
Redmi K30 specifications and features
Xiaomi earlier revealed that the Redmi K30 will sport a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display, which will be slightly bigger than its predecessor. Unlike the Redmi K20 that sports an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Redmi K30 is expected to offer a side-mounted sensor instead. The smartphone will have a pill-shaped dual selfie camera on the top-right corner of the screen. At the rear, the handset will have a 64-megapixel primary quad-camera setup at the rear. Lastly, we already know that the smartphone will offer support for the next-gen 5G networks. Pricing and availability details of the device are not available at the moment.
