In September, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite smartphone in global markets. Earlier this month, the company unveiled the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro phones in India. Today, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi K30S in China. The Redmi K30S has gone official as the rebadged version of the Mi 10T.
The Redmi K30S has arrived in the home market as the most affordable Snapdragon 865 SoC powered flagship phone. The smartphone has a 144Hz refresh rate display and is backed by a huge battery. The phone also features a 64-megapixel triple camera setup.

The Redmi K30S has an IPS LCD display measuring 6.67 inches with a punch-hole cutout. The display features a 20:9 aspect ratio, Full HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The front and rear sides of the phone features Gorilla Glass 5 panels. The phone is fitted with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
The triple camera system placed on the rear panel of the Redmi K30S has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary shooter. The setup includes a 13-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide shooter and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The phone runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10.
The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform drives the Redmi K30S with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It is equipped with up to 256GB of built-in storage, but lacks support for a microSD card slot. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The K30S is equipped with other features such as dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, stereo speakers, and a side-facing fingerprint reader. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
Redmi K30S pricing and availability
The Redmi K30S has arrived in China in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. These models are priced at RMB 2,599 (~Rs 28,600) and RMB 2,799 (~Rs 30,900) respectively. It comes in two colours such as Cosmic Black and Lunar Silver.
