Redmi K50 Gaming Edition to launch next week
The teaser poster shared by Redmi reveals the design of the K50 Gaming Edition. It looks similar to the POCO F3 GT (review) that launched in July last year in India. The back panel sports a rectangular triple camera module with RGB lighting. The camera island also has the words ‘Freezing’ and ‘Speediest’ on the left and right sides respectively. There is a lightning-bolt shaped LED flash.
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is seen in a Light Blue colour whereas the frame of the smartphone is Black colour. The device features mechanical trigger buttons hinting that it will indeed be a gaming-centric smartphone and the successor to last year’s K40 Gaming Edition.
Previously, Redmi had teased key specifications of the K50 series phone. However, the exact model name of the device wasn’t revealed. The confirmed specifications include Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, dual VC liquid cooling system, and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It remains to be seen if the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will incorporate the aforementioned internals.
