Redmi K50 series

The Redmi K50 lineup will launch in China next month

Redmi has shared a teaser poster of the upcoming K50 series on its Weibo handle. It hasn’t explicitly revealed the variants of the Redmi K50 lineup. The Xiaomi sub-brand says that the K50 series will be equipped with a super large dual vapour chamber for heat dissipation. It is also touted to be the “coolest” smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

The poster also reveals that the Redmi K50 series will feature a 4,700mAh battery unit with support for 120W fast charging. It is claimed to top up the device fully in 17 minutes. It is likely that the aforementioned specifications will be incorporated in the top-end Redmi K50 Pro+ variant. When MediaTek announced its flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC last month, Xiaomi VP and Redmi GM Lu Weibing confirmed that the K50 series will arrive with the said processor.

Hence we can expect at least two devices in the lineup to be powered by Dimensity 9000. We will know more about the Redmi K50 series in the coming weeks leading up to its launch event next month.
