Redmi K50 series phones spotted at Geekbench; reveals 12GB RAM and Snapdragon 8-series chipset

The Redmi K50 series phones with 21121210C and 22021211RC model numbers have appeared at Geekbench. While the 21121210C device has been previously spotted at Chinese certification platforms such as TENAA and 3C, the 22021211RC handset has been spotted for the first time. The appearance of the Geekbench listing is a good hint that the company could be internally testing the K50 lineup before its official announcement.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi confirmed in the previous week that it will be launching the Redmi K50 series of smartphones in February. Redmi unveiled three handsets such as Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+ in February. Hence, the brand is expected to announce multiple K50 branded devices in the coming month in China.

Redmi K50 series Geekbench listings

To begin with, the 21121210C model has been spotted with a Qualcomm chipset that includes a prime CPU core working at 3GHz, three CPU cores clocking in at 2.50GHz, and the remaining four CPU cores ticking at 1.79GHz. The source code of the listing confirms that it has Adreno 730 GPU. These specs confirm that it is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Coming to the 22021211RC variant, its Geekbench listing reveals a Qualcomm SoC with one prime core running at 3.19GHz, three CPU cores ticking at 2.42GHz, and four CPU cores ticking at 1.80GHz. Its source code reveals the presence of Adreno 650 GPU, which indicates that this model is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Geekbench listings of both devices show that they are equipped with 12GB of RAM and Android 12 OS.

Redmi K50 series specifications (Rumoured)

According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the 21121210C model will be debuting in the market with the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition moniker. It is speculated that the 22021211RC could be the vanilla Redmi K50 model. The K50 models are rumoured to house a punch-hole OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Gaming Edition phone is likely to house a 4,700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The base model may feature a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. All the K50 models are expected to run on MIUI 13 based Android 12 OS. The K50 series phones are expected to feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The K50 lineup is expected to flaunt a 64-megapixel or 108-megapixel quad-camera unit.

It is speculated that a smartphone with model number 2201116SC that was spotted with a 67W fast charger at 3C certification is another K50 series model. At present, there is no information on its other specs.
