- Redmi K50i 5G is expected to launch soon in India
- Its entire specifications have been surfaced in a new leak
- It will feature a 144Hz LCD display and Dimensity 8100 chip
Redmi K50i 5G full specifications have been revealed by reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal in partnership with 91mobiles. Xiaomi’s sub-brand launched the Redmi K20 series in August 2019. The K20 and K20 Pro received a good reception from users and critics. For reasons best known to the brand, it did not release the K30 and K40 series in India.
In the first half of this year, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K50, the Redmi K50 Pro, and the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition in China. It appears that the company has no plans to release these devices in India. Reports have revealed that India will soon be receiving two K-series models, namely the Redmi K50i 5G and the Redmi K50i Pro 5G. Here is all the information on the specifications and variants of the vanilla model.
Redmi K50i 5G specifications (rumoured)
The Redmi K50i 5G will arrive with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen that supports a Full HD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, 650 nits of brightness, and Dolby Vision. The Dimensity 8100 will power the device with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It will house a 5,080mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
The K50i 5G will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It will offer other features, such as Android 12 OS with MIUI 13, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a flat frame, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It will measure 163.6 x 74.3 x 8.8mm and weigh 200 grams.
Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 11T Pro and the Note 11T Pro+ in China last month. The POCO X4 GT, debuting on June 23rd, 2022, will be a rebranded Note 11T Pro for the global markets. It will be rebadged as the Redmi K50i 5G in India. The leak reveals that it will arrive in two variants, such as 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. It will arrive in black, silver, and blue colours. Unfortunately, there is no information on the price of the K50i.
Redmi K50i Pro 5G with 108MP camera could be in works
Tipster Kacper Skrzypek claimed last month that China’s Redmi Note 11T Pro+ will be rebranded as the POCO X4 GT Pro in global markets. He added that the Note 11T Pro+ will be rebadged as the Redmi K50i Pro 5G in India.
As compared to the Note 11T Pro+, there will be one major change on the POCO X4 GT Pro and Redmi K50i Pro. While the Note 11T Pro+ has a 64-megapixel main camera, the X4 GT Pro and K50i Pro are likely to arrive with a 108-megapixel main camera. The rest of the specifications of these phones will be identical to the Note 11T Pro+.
The Redmi K50i Pro 5G is expected to pack the same specs as the K50i. However, the Pro will have a better primary camera and a smaller 4,400mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
