Redmi K50i 5G has been launched in India. In 2018, Redmi launched the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones in India. Even though they were highly popular devices, Redmi did not launch K-branded phones in India. Today, the company brought back the K-lineup in India by unveiling the Redmi K50i 5G. The company also unveiled the RedmI Buds 3 Lite TWS earbuds alongside it.

Some of the notable features of the RedmI K50i 5G include a 144Hz LCD display and the Dimensity 8100 chipset. For photography, it features a 64-megapixel triple camera unit. The device has a large battery with fast charging support.

Redmi K50i 5G first sale in India

The Amazon Prime Days 2022 sale will begin at 12 am on July 23rd, 2022, on Amazon India. The Redmi K50i 5G will be available for purchase on the same date in the country. It will also be sold through Amazon India, Xiaomi India’s website, Mi Home, retail stores, and Croma across the country.

Early bird buyers can get Redmi K50i 5G with up to Rs 3,000 instant discount with ICICI Bank cards and EMI transactions. There is also an exchange bonus of Rs 2,500 and a no-cost EMI offer for up to 9 months. With these discounts, both models can be bought for as low as Rs 20,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively.

There is a special offer for people who still own the Redmi K20 Pro. The K50i 5G buyers can benefit from an exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,050. Apart from these online-only offers, the company has offline offers such as up to Rs 3,000 instant bank discount with ICICI Bank cards and EMI transactions or get a Xiaomi Smart Speaker worth Rs 4,999 for free.

The Redmi K50i 5G is fitted with a 6.67-inch LCD screen that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,460 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 270Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 650 nits of brightness. The device carries support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for watching streaming content. The display punch-hole houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera, which carries support for up to 60fps 1080p video recording.

The K50i 5G’s rear camera setup has a 64-megapixel main camera. It has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FOV and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It supports up to 30fps 4K video recording and 960fps HD slow-motion video shooting.

The Redmi K50i 5G is powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset and 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The handset offers up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and lacks support for external storage. It has a 5,080mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging.
