Redmi K60 Gaming is likely to launch soon in China. The device will arrive as the successor to the Redmi K50 Gaming, which was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Redmi K60 series is expected to include at least three models, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and the K60 Gaming. The latter will be a gaming-focused model equipped with dedicated shoulder buttons for an enhanced gaming experience.
The K50 Gaming was not released in markets outside China. However, it was rebranded as the POCO F4 GT in India and the global market. It appears that the K60 Gaming may arrive as a POCO model in markets outside of China.
Redmi K60 Gaming key details leaked
According to Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi device with the 23011310C model number will debut in the market as the Redmi K60 Gaming. The report further reveals that the device has a “Socrates” codename and is likely to debut in Q1 2023 in China.
Like the predecessor model, the K60 Gaming may not be released in markets outside of China. The report claims that the device will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will debut next month (November). Some Chinese tipsters have claimed the K60 Gaming will support 100W charging.
The POCO F5 GT is most likely a rebranded Redmi K60 Gaming for Indian and other markets. However, the model numbers of the F4 GT haven’t appeared yet on any of the certification platforms. Hence, it is unclear whether the device exists.
Speaking of POCO, the company is said to be working on the POCO F5 5G flagship phone. The device is said to have the “Mondrian” codename and is expected to come with specifications like an OLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. While the POCO F5 5G will be released in Indian and global markets, China will receive the same device with the Redmi K60 branding.
