After launching the Redmi K50 Ultra in August, it appears that Redmi is finally done with the Redmi K50 series. According to the latest reports, the company has started working on its next flagship lineup, the Redmi K60 series. Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tipster, has disclosed a few specifics regarding the upcoming smartphone series.
Apple recently unveiled its latest iPhones with the new Dynamic Island feature, which has raised eyebrows worldwide. It’s only a matter of time before Android phone makers implement something similar in their devices. Xiaomi appears to be the first to do so with its upcoming Redmi K60 series.
Redmi K60 series expected features and specifications
As per the leaks and rumours, the Redmi K60 series is expected to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The highest-end model in the series will have a 2K display. It is also said to include a 50MP main camera sensor, a customized version of Sony’s IMX766 sensor. In addition, the series could contain an under-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of battery, the devices are likely to have two charging speeds: 67W wired and 30W wireless charging support and 120W wired and 30W wireless charging support.
Right now, it’s unclear when we should expect the Redmi K60 series to become official. We hope to hear more about the Redmi K60 lineup in the coming months.
