- Redmi K60 series is expected to launch in Q1 2023
- A new leak has revealed key details of the Redmi K60
- It will feature the Dimensity 8200 chip, 48MP main camera, and more
Redmi K60 key specifications have surfaced months before its launch. In February of this year, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Gaming edition smartphones in China. These devices are likely to be succeeded by the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60 Gaming by Q1 2023.
Reports have claimed that the Redmi K60 Gaming will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Some unconfirmed sources have claimed that the Redmi K60 Pro will have the Dimensity 9200. Some information about the upcoming Redmi K60 phone has now been leaked by Digital Chat Station.
Redmi K60 specifications (rumoured)
Previous reports have claimed that the Redmi K60 will feature a punch-hole OLED panel that will offer a 1.5K resolution and carry support for the iPhone-like Dynamic Island feature. The new leak reveals that the device will be equipped with the forthcoming Dimensity 8200. To recall, the Redmi K50 was powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset.
Rumours are rife that the D8200 SoC will launch on November 8th, 2022, along with the more powerful Dimensity 9200 SoC. The same tipster had recently claimed that the D8200 is equipped with one major Cortex-X2 core, which works at 3.1GHz. The K60 is likely to come equipped with MIUI 14-based Android 13 OS.
The tipster claimed that the Redmi K60 is equipped with an OIS-enabled 48-megapixel primary camera. Unfortunately, there is no information on the exact camera sensor. The leak also states that the Redmi K60 will have a massive 5,500mAh battery. Reports from the past said that the K50 will support 67W fast charging when it comes out.
The leak also suggests that Redmi will be launching more devices powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset. Since the Redmi Note 11T Pro and Note 11T Pro that debuted in May came equipped with the Dimensity 8100 SoC, it is likely that the Redmi Note 12T Pro series might feature the D8200 chip.
