The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 JE smartphone has launched in Japan. In terms of design, the handset appears like the Redmi Note 10T 5G (or global Redmi Note 10 5G) that debuted in India last week, but it is packed with slightly different internals.
The Note 10 JE has a high refresh rate display with a centrally aligned punch-hole design. It is powered by a 5G-ready Snapdragon 4-series chipset, and it is backed by a big battery. The device offers users a 48-megapixel triple camera unit.
Redmi Note 10 JE specifications and features
The Redmi Note 10 JE has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers an FHD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and up to a 90Hz refresh rate. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint reader and AI face unlock. It features an IPX8 rated body for water resistance.
It is the first Redmi phone to feature the Snapdragon 480 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot. It ships with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
The front side of the Redmi Note 10 JE features an 8-megapixel selfie camera that offers features like timed burst, AI beauty, HDR, palm shutter, screen flash, 30fps 1080p video recording, and more. The rear camera system of the phone features a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. The Note 10 JE supports photography features like AI super night mode, AI camera, filters, time-lapse, and 30fps 1080p video shooting.
The Note 10 JE has a 4,800mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C port. It offers other connectivity options such as a single SIM slot, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, NFC, IR blaster, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lastly, it offers an IP68 rated water-resistant and dustproof chassis.
Redmi Note 10 JE pricing and availability
The Redmi Note 10 JE is priced at JPY 28,765 (~Rs 19,700) in Japan and it comes in colours like Graphite Gray and Chrome Silver. The handset is slated to go on sale on August 13th in the country. However, it is unclear which other markets will be receiving the Note 10 JE smartphone.
