Redmi teases new gaming smartphone for India, Redmi Note 10S expected

The Redmi Note 10S smartphone is on the way to India. The Xiaomi sub-brand took to Twitter to tease the news. Redmi India shared an image of the box revealing key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

Redmi hasn’t explicitly revealed the name of the smartphone nor the exact launch date. The brand is teasing the phone as a gaming-centric offering. However, the specifications teased are in line with the Redmi Note 10S that had launched globally last month. 

The mystery Redmi phone box confirms a few features including a 64MP camera setup, MIUI 12.5, Hi-res audio and three colour variants. The box also teases fast performance, gaming, a power-packed battery and “super display”. These specifications align with the global Redmi Note 10S variant.  

Redmi Note 10S specifications and features

The Redmi Note 10S sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen bearing FHD+ resolution. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and rectangular camera module on the back. 

The Redmi Note 10S sports a quad-rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. The punch-hole cutout on the front accommodates a 13MP selfie snapper. 

The Redmi Note 10S is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. It is coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. The phone runs MIUI 12.5 out of the box based on Android 11, and comes with hi-res audio as well.
