- Amazon India has a landing page for a new Xiaomi phone
- The URL of the page confirms that the Redmi Note 10T 5G is launching
- It will be the first 5G-ready Redmi Note 10 series phone to arrive in India
The Redmi Note 10T 5G’s launch seems to be drawing near as its microsite has gone live on Amazon India. The listing does not explicitly reveal the name of the device, but the URL confirms that the upcoming Xiaomi phone will be the Redmi Note 10T 5G. Xiaomi had teased the phone’s launch on Twitter yesterday, but instead of posting the device’s name, had used an anagram that hinted at the device.
In India, Redmi Note 10 series includes three models such as Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. The Note 10T 5G will be the first phone in the series to arrive with support for 5G connectivity. Since the name of the device does not have Pro or Max included in it, it appears that it will be an affordable 5G phone from the brand.
Redmi Note 10T 5G launch in India confirmed
The Redmi Note 10T 5G’s Amazon India landing page has no information on its specs. A smartphone by the same name was announced in Russia recently. Even though it has a 5G-ready Dimensity 700 chip, it lacks support for 5G connectivity. It appears that India will receive the 5G-enabled version of the smartphone. The handset will be available for purchase through Amazon and Xiaomi’s official website.
Redmi Note 10T 5G specifications and features (expected)
The Redmi Note 10T 5G that launched in Russia has a 6.5-inch LCD panel that offers Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 700 chip fuels the device with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It is available in the country in three variants such as 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
The Note 10T 5G has an 8MP front camera, and its rear camera setup has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The other features of the phone include MIUI 12 based on Android 11, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Interestingly, the POCO M3 Pro 5G (review) that launched in India last month has the same specs that are available on the Redmi Note 10T 5G. It remains to be seen whether the Note 10T 5G will come with major differences compared to the POCO M3 Pro 5G.
