There have been talks of Redmi prepping yet another Note series device called the Redmi Note 9, which will sit below the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. The smartphone with model number M2003J15SC was recently spotted on China’s TENAA certification authority, revealing the design and a few key specs. However, a China Telecom database listing has revealed that the smartphone will launch as the Redmi 10x in China instead of Redmi Note 9. Redmi 10x specifications and features
According to the China Telecom listing, the Redmi 10x will launch with the newest MediaTek Helio G85 SoC onboard. Notably, this makes the Redmi 10x the world’s first smartphone to feature the 12nm chipset, which is expected to be an advanced version of the Helio G80 gaming processor. The processor is accompanied by 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. There will be an expandable microSD card slot, which will support up to 512GB cards. The listing also reveals that the handset will ship with MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
The TENAA listing had revealed that the phone will flaunt a 6.53-inch display with 2,340 × 1,080 pixels resolution. While China Telecom lists only the top-end variant, the phone is also expected to come in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB options. Camera-wise, the phone will feature a 48MP quad-camera setup with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. The handset will be equipped with a 4,920mAh battery featuring 18W fast charging.
Redmi 10x price and availability
The China Telecom listing has also revealed the pricing of the 6GB mode, which is RMB 1,499 (~Rs 16,100). As of now, there’s no word on the launch timeline, but we expect it to be soon.
