Redmi Note 12 series is confirmed to launch this month in China. The company shared the announcement on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The poster says ‘see you this month’ however, the exact launch date remains a mystery. Thus, we can expect the Redmi Note 12 series to debut by the end of next week.
The Redmi Note 12 series will arrive as the successor to the Redmi Note 11 series. The lineup will likely comprise regular, Pro, and Pro+ models.
Redmi Note 12 series set to launch this month
In a Weibo post, Redmi confirmed that the upcoming Note 12 series will come with the world’s first two new technologies. The Xiaomi sub-brand hasn’t divulged into the exact details at the moment. It seems that the Redmi Note 12 series could be the world’s first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 processor under the hood. Additionally, one of the devices in the lineup could also come with support for 200W+ fast charging support.
Rumours suggest that the upcoming Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+ will arrive with support for 67W, 120W, and 210W charging respectively. The smartphones are tipped to come with a 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP triple rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery unit.
The Redmi Note 12 series was recently spotted on major Chinese e-commerce retailer JD.com but the listing did not reveal any key specifications.
