The Redmi Note 8 2021 smartphone is launching soon, confirmed Xiaomi. Rumours surrounding it suggest that it will be arriving with renewed specs. However, it could be available only in limited markets.

The Note 8 2021 was recently spotted at the FCC and Bluetooth SIG certification platform with model number M1908C3JGG. It is speculated to feature a high refresh rate display, a new MediaTek chipset, 48MP quad-cameras, and a big battery with fast charging support.

Yesterday, Xiaomi took to its global Twitter handle to state that it sold over 25 million units of the Redmi Note 8 across the world. The tweet also mentioned that it will be soon introducing the Redmi Note 8 2021 to celebrate the success of the Redmi Note 8, which launched back in 2019.

The FCC and Bluetooth certifications of the Redmi Note 8 2021 revealed that it will come with MIUI 12.5, a 4,000mAh battery, and Bluetooth 5.2. Earlier this month, the Xiaomiui Telegram channel revealed that the Redmi Note 8 2021 will be sporting an IPS LCD waterdrop notch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and it will be powered by the Helio G85 chipset. The handset is expected to carry support for 22.5W fast charging and feature 48-megapixel quad-cameras.

The leak also revealed that Note 8 2021’s camera setup will have a main lens, an ultra-wide lens, a tele-macro camera, and a depth sensor. The handset may ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It is speculated that select markets in the EU and Russia will receive the Redmi Note 8 2021. Unfortunately, it may not release in India..
