Redmi Note 8 Pro Dark Blue colour variant launched

The Chinese electronics conglomerate Xiaomi has introduced a new colour variant of its latest Redmi Note series smartphone, the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The new model has a Dark Blue hue, and it is currently only being offered in the Taiwanese market. The latest colour variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB, and is available on Mi.com in Taiwan. Apart from a new hue, the rest of the specifications of the new Redmi Note 8 Pro variant are the same as the earlier models.

The new model has a Dark Blue hue, and it is currently only being offered in the Taiwanese market. The latest colour variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB, and is available on Mi.com in Taiwan. Apart from a new hue, the rest of the specifications of the new Redmi Note 8 Pro variant are the same as the earlier models. As of now, there’s no word if the brand will be releasing this colour option of the handset in other markets like India.

Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications and features

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is a mid-range offering with a quad-camera setup at the rear. The handset has a Samsung BRIGHT GW1 64MP ISOCELL primary camera at the back. The main sensor is aided by an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle secondary shooter, a 2MP ultra-macro lens, and a 2MP snapper that provides depth-sensing capabilities. On the front, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 20MP camera, which is housed inside the waterdrop notch that’s placed above the display. The rear cameras can shoot 4K videos, while the front snapper record full HD recordings.

Talking about the other features, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 6.53-inch display with FHD+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, which is aided by 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. Software-wise, the device has Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10, and for security, there’s a fingerprint sensor on the back of the handset. The connectivity features are standard, while a beefy 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support keeps the phone alive.

Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India

The Redmi Note 8 Pro’s base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is available in India for Rs 14,999. The handset’s 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB models are being offered for Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively. Talking about the colour variants, Redmi Note 8 Pro is available in the country in Halo White, Gamma Green, and Shadow Black hues.
