Redmi Note 8 Pro Electric Blue variant launched in India, available from today

Just a couple of days ago, Xiaomi introduced a new attractive Cosmic Purple colour variant of the Redmi Note 8 smartphone in India. Today, the brand has launched an appealing colour option for the phone’s higher-end sibling, the Redmi Note 8 Pro in the country as well. The new hue of the device is being offered in an attractive Electric Blue, which somewhat resembles an aurora. The new Redmi Note 8 Pro colour model will go on sale in the country starting from tomorrow. The smartphone is now available in India in four colour variants – Shadow Black, Gamma Green, Halo White, and Electric Blue.

For the uninitiated, the Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched as the Chinese tech giant’s first smartphone to flaunt a 64MP primary camera at the rear. The phone has a Samsung BRIGHT GW1 64MP ISOCELL sensor on the back. The sensor is aided by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP ultra-macro shooter, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. For selfies and video-calling, the handset is fitted with a 20MP camera that’s placed inside the waterdrop notch above the display.

As for the other specifications, the Redmi Note 8 Pro offers a 6.53-inch full HD+ display bearing a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Under the hood, the device has a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, and software-wise, it boots Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box. For connectivity, it has 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS. A beefy 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor complete the list of the specifications.

As for the pricing, the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants are being offered for Rs 14,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively. The recently launched model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage is being offered for Rs 17,999.
