Redmi Note 8 Pro with 64MP camera launching in India on October 16th

Redmi Note 8 Pro India launch has been set for October 16th. Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain made the announcement at the launch event of the Redmi 8 smartphone in the country earlier today. The phone will arrive as the company’s first 64MP camera-toting smartphone in India. The Redmi Note 8 Pro will join the club of other 64MP camera phones like the Samsung Galaxy A70s and Realme XT. The phone was originally launched in China earlier this year as the world’s first smartphone to utilise MediaTek’s Helio G90T processor.

Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications and features

Talking about the specs, the Redmi Note 8 Pro sports Samsung’s BRIGHT GW1 64MP ISOCELL primary camera at the rear. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP ultra-macro lens, and a 2MP depth camera. The phone is capable of 4K and 960-fps slow-motion video recordings. As for the selfies, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is equipped with a 20MP f/2.0 sensor that supports full HD video recording.

As for the other features, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch display with a resolution of Gorilla Glass 5 and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The MediaTek Helio G90T chipset onboard is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. Software-side of the things are handled by Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10. A 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, a premium design, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor complete the list of the specs.

Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India

Xiaomi hasn’t yet revealed the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s price for India. As for China, the phone is available at the starting price of around Rs 14,000 for the base variant and approx.
