In August, Xiaomi’s independent brand Redmi had launched the Redmi Note 8 series of smartphones in China. The same series also debuted in India in October. Fresh information reveals that Xiaomi could be gearing up to launch an advanced version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor.
Yesterday, a Xiaomi phone with model number M1912G7BE / M1912G7BC had received approval from the 3C authority of China. The listing had revealed that the phone could be shipped with 27W fast charger. This suggested that the M1912G7BE/C could be a non-5G flagship phone which gave birth to rumours that it could be Poco F2. However, a reliable tipster from China stated that M1912G7BE/C is the Snapdragon 730G powered version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Helio G90T gaming-centric chipset is present under the hood of the currently available Redmi Note 8 Pro in India, China and other markets.

The Snapdragon 730G powered Redmi Note 8 Pro could be coming as a rival for the Realme X2 phone which is fueled by the same SoC. The Realme X2 will be launching as the Realme XT 730G in India in the next month. There is a possibility that the Redmi Note 8 Pro SD730G edition could be soon arriving in India too to rival with the Realme XT 730G.
At the time of writing, there is no word on the other specs Redmi Note 8 Pro SD730G phone. It is advisable for readers to take this report with a grain of salt and wait for newer information to confirm on its existence. As far as the POCO F2 is concerned, there is no official confirmation on its arrival yet. However, the rumor mill is still speculating that it may go official before the end of 2019.
According to the aforementioned Chinese tipster, the Redmi K30 smartphone is also expected to go official in China before 2019 end. It is believed that the 5G Xiaomi phone with M1911U2E model number that was recently certified by China’s National Radio Authority (NRA) could be the Redmi K30 phone. The smartphone could be powered by the MediaTek’s upcoming 5G chipset. Recent reports have revealed that the Redmi K30 features a punch-hole display and dual-mode 5G. The Redmi K30 Pro may break cover in early 2020.
