Redmi Note 9 5G series set to launch on November 26th, three devices expected

India was treated with the Redmi Note 9 series earlier this year. In March, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (review) and it announced the Redmi Note 9 (review) in July. This year, various smartphone OEMs in China have launched 5G phones across various price points. Since Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi wanted to launch 5G-enabled Redmi Note smartphones in China, it decided to skip the 4G-ready Redmi Note 9 series phone that were made available in India.

Today, the company confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 5G series will be debuting in China at 8 PM CST on November 26th. The launch poster released by the brand has revealed the design of the alleged Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone.

The November 26th launch event will see the arrival of three phones. Two of them will come with 5G support and there will be a single model with 4G support. The specifications of these phones are already known since they have already been listed in the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority. The poster showcases the appearance of the Note 9 Pro 5G that is expected to arrive as a modified edition of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite.

The M200722C and M2007J17C TENAA certified phones are believed to break cover as the Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G, respectively. The 4G model has a model number of M2010J19SC. While it was speculated to launch as Redmi 10, it is now known that it will be a part of the Redmi Note 9 series.

The Redmi Note 9 5G has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD punch-hole screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate. It will be driven by the Dimensity 800U chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W rapid charging support. For photography, it possesses a 48-megapixel triple camera system and a 13-megapixel front camera. In markets outside of China, it is expected to break cover as the Redmi Note 9T.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a larger 6.67-inch IPS LCD punch-hole display with FHD+ and 120Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset, and it has a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Its rear has a 108-megapixel quad-camera system, and it has a selfie camera of 16-megapixel.

The 4G variant of the Redmi Note 9 series has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch. The Snapdragon 662 chipset fuels the phone along with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. It features a 48-megapixel triple camera setup and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. This handset is expected to debut as the POCO M3 on November 24th in the European markets.
