Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 8A Dual receive yet another price hike in India

Xiaomi has been hiking prices of its phones in India quite often. The company recently hiked the prices of the Redmi 8A DualRedmi 8 and Redmi Note 8 by up to Rs 500 in India. The latest smartphones to receive the price hike are the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 8A Dual. Notably, this is the third price hike for the Redmi 8A Dual and second for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The prices have been hiked by Rs 300 and Rs 500 for the Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, respectively.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 8A Dual new prices in India

The new price for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max 6GB + 64GB variant price in India now is Rs 16,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 18,499. These models were earlier priced at Rs 16,499 and Rs 17,999, respectively. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also has an 8GB + 128GB variant, which continues to sell at the same price, i.e. Rs 19,999.

The Redmi 8A Dual 3GB + 32GB India is priced at Rs 8,299, up from Rs 7,999 earlier.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 8A Dual specifications

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.67-inch full HD+ display and the Snapdragon 720G SoC under its hood. The phone offers up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. In the camera department, the phone features a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear. The punch-hole cutout on the front houses a 32MP selfie camera. Other features of the smartphone include a 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and more.

The Redmi 8A Dual ships with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and Snapdragon 439 SoC with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. The phone features a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens on the rear, and an 8MP camera on the front. Powering the handset is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Both Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi 8A Dual boot MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
