Realme has launched its newest budget smartphones called the Realme 6 (review) and Realme 6 Pro in India. These smartphones bring super-premium features like 90Hz displays, 64MP quad-camera modules and 30W fast charging at affordable prices. Now, the spotlight shifts to Xiaomi, as the company has announced the launch of its Redmi Note 9 series on March 12th. The Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro will come in as the real contenders to the Realme 6 duo and as such, are highly anticipated devices. Ahead of the official launch, Pricebaba has obtained the RAM and storage configurations along with the colour options of the Redmi Note 9 Pro in collaboration with notable tipster, Ishan Agarwal.

Redmi Note 9 Pro concept render by Ben Geskin
According to Agarwal, Xiaomi will offer the Redmi Note 9 Pro in two variants in India – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. We can expect the smartphone to feature expandable storage as well, going by Redmi’s track record in the the Note series. As for the colour options, the tipster claims that the phone will come in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black paint jobs. As of now, this is all that Agarwal has shared with us.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro was recently spotted on Geekbench and a concept image was also created by designer Ben Geskin, giving us a glimpse at its possible final design. The Geekbench listing of the Redmi Note 9 Pro revealed that phone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.8GHz, which is speculated to be the Snapdragon 720G, pitting the phone directly against the Realme 6 Pro. The processor is seen backed by 6GB RAM, which could be the base variant of the device. The benchmark listing also shows Android 10, which means it will run MIUI 11 out of the box. The concept render of the smartphone shows a unique square-shaped quad-camera module on the back (confirmed by the Amazon listing), and a punch-hole display with a cutout in the top left corner. The concept render appears to suggest a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Amazon listing has confirmed that the phone will have a curved Gorilla Glass back, immersive gaming experience and fast charging.
Unfortunately, there’s not much else known about the handset at this point, but with the launch right around the corner, we don’t have to wait for long.
