The launch tweet mentions #MoreThanPhones hinting that Xiaomi could launch other devices alongside the Redmi Note 9T. The smartphone appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 5G that went official in China last November.

The upcoming Redmi Note 9T had appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform last month. The listing revealed key specifications including MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor coupled with 4GB RAM and Android 10.

Redmi Note 9T specifications and features

Ahead of the launch, Amazon Germany listed the Redmi Note 9T revealing its specifications and confirming that it is indeed a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 5G. The listing has now been removed. The Redmi Note 9T will feature an IPS LCD display measuring 6.53-inches with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The smartphone sports a circular camera module on the back housing a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth unit. There is a 13MP front-facing camera.

The Redmi Note 9T will be powered by a Dimensity 800U SoC. It will be offered in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB RAM and storage configurations. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W charging. The Note 9T will ships with MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The listing reveals the base model priced at € 229 (~Rs 20,542) while the higher variant carries a price tag of €269.90 (~Rs 24,212)
