Redmi Smart TV series has launched in India. It is offered in 32 and 43-inch screen sizes. The Xiaomi sub-brand entered the television segment earlier in March this year in the country with the launch of the Redmi Smart TV X series.
Redmi has expanded its portfolio in the television category with the latest offerings. The Redmi Smart TV series is more affordable than the premium Redmi Smart TV X lineup. The televisions compete against the likes of Realme smart TVs, OnePlus TV Y1 and others in the market.
Redmi Smart TV series specifications and features
The Redmi Smart TV 32-inch offers HD resolution while the 43-inch variant comes with an FHD panel. Both smart TVs are surrounded by slim bezels and feature vivid picture engines. Users can customise various picture controls including backlit, brightness, contrasts, sharpness and gamma control.
On the audio front, the Redmi Smart TV 32 and 43-inch are equipped with 20W speakers with support for Dolby Audio and DTS: Virtual X surround sound.
The Redmi Smart TV series runs on the latest Android 11 with PatchWall 4 UI layered on the top. The latter also offers IMDB integration, universal search modes, kids modes, 75+ free live channels, and more. The television comes with built-in Google Assistant, Chromecast, and access to 5,000+ apps on Play Store.
Connectivity options on the Redmi Smart TV series include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, Miracast, two HDMI ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB ports, Ethernet port, and Auto Low Latency mode (ALLM) for gaming. The smart TV comes with a bundled remote with quick wake and quick mute feature.

The Redmi Smart TV 32-inch is priced at Rs 15,999 while the 43-inch variant costs Rs 25,999. The sale date will soon be announced by the Xiaomi-sub-brand. The television will be available for purchase from Amazon, mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Mi Studios.
