Redmi Smart TV X 2022 has been launched in China. It is the successor to last year’s Redmi Smart TV X that debuted in May last year. The latest offering comes in two screen sizes and with upgraded specifications and features.

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 comes with a host of display features

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 is offered in 55 and 65-inch display variants bearing 4K resolution and full-array backlit panel. It features a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth, MEMC technology and a 6.5ms response time. The TV also supports FreeSync and Dolby Vision. It comes with a full-metal design and the screen is surrounded by thin bezels. 

On the audio front, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 is equipped with quad-speakers, two air ducts, a sealed box with a 2 x 0.38L large sound cavity and Dolby Atmos support producing a sound output of 12.5W. The television also features far-field voice recognition with four microphones.  

Under the hood, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 houses an octa-core MediaTek MTK 9650 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It is said to offer up to 1T of AI computing power with support for AI-PQ, AI-AQ intelligent audio, and picture adjustment. 

Connectivity-wise, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 packs two HDMI 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB ports, and an Ethernet port.

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 carries a price tag of RMB 2,999 (~Rs 35,136) for the 55-inch variant while the 65-inch model costs RMB 3,499 (~Rs 40,985). The television is up for pre-orders in China from, Xiaomi Mall, and Xiaomi Youpin with sales commencing from October 31st. Redmi hasn’t revealed the availability of its latest television outside China, but considering that the Redmi Smart TV X debuted in India earlier this year, we can expect the 2022 edition to also arrive in the country.
