At an event in China today, Xiaomi has launched several products, including the Redmi 10x series smartphones, RedmiBook 16 and Redmi Smart TV X series. Prior to launch, the Xiaomi sub-brand had been teasing the key features of the devices on Weibo.
Coming to the Redmi Smart TV X, the televisions have been announced in three variants, offering premium design, display and audio. Additionally, the latest TVs also share most of their specifications, apart from display size. Let’s take a look at what the Redmi Smart TV X series has in store for us.
Redmi Smart TV X series specifications and features
The Redmi Smart TV X series has been launched in three screen sizes of 50, 55 and 65-inches. All three variants offer 4K resolution with 85 percent NTSC colour gamut and a 60Hz refresh rate panel. The display is surrounded by slim bezels and offers 97 percent screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, the televisions also support MEMC technology for smooth content playback. In terms of audio, the Redmi Smart TV X series is equipped with four speakers producing 12.5W output along with an 8-unit subwoofer audio system.
Performance-wise, the televisions pack 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The Redmi Smart TV X series comes with support for voice assistants and can connect to AIoT smart devices. They is also equipped with far-field voice technology letting users search and control smart devices without a remote.
Redmi Smart TV X series pricing and availability
The 55 and 60-inch models of the Redmi Smart TV X are priced at RMB 2,299 (~Rs 24,394) and RMB 3,299 (~Rs 34,990) respectively. The price of 50-inch model was not announced by Xiaomi. Customers purchasing the TVs in the first sale will get a discount of RMB 300 (~Rs 3,182).
