Redmi Watch to launch in India on May 13th, key specs revealed

Redmi Watch is confirmed to launch on May 13th in India. It will debut alongside the Redmi Note 10S smartphone. The Xiaomi sub-brand hasn’t confirmed the name of its first smartwatch but it is expected to be the Redmi Watch that had debuted in China last November. The India variant is tipped to arrive with a few tweaks.

A dedicated event page of the upcoming Redmi Watch reveals key specifications and features. The wearable device is expected to carry an affordable price tag and competes against the likes of Realme Watch S and Amazfit Bip U in India. 

As per the microsite, the upcoming Redmi Watch will feature a square dial with a physical button on the right side for navigation and functions. It will offer 200+ watch faces for customisation. The watch will come with a buckle-style strap design. 

The Redmi Watch is confirmed to be equipped with a built-in GPS and GLONASS for precise navigation so that users can perform outdoor activities (like running) without taking their smartphone. The upcoming wearable device will feature a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracker and guided breathing exercises. It will support 11 sports modes. 

Redmi Watch specifications and features

The China variant of the Redmi Watch comes with a 1.4-inch HD display with auto-brightness mode. It is water-resistant up to 50 meters. The smartwatch packs a heart rate monitor, a sedentary reminder, and seven sports modes. 

The Redmi Watch shows various notifications and users can also control smart home devices with the watch. The wearable device is powered by a 230mAh battery unit that is capable of lasting up to 7 days on a single charge.
