Redmi Watch with 1.4-inch display, 7-day battery life launched: price, specifications

The Redmi Watch has been announced alongside the launch of Redmi Note 9 5G series in China. Redmi had forayed into the wearables segment earlier in April this year with the launch of Redmi Band (review).

The latest offering is the Redmi Watch and is actually a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite. The wearable device carries an affordable price tag and will compete against the likes of Realme Watch (review), Amazfit Bip U in the sub-5k price segment.

The Redmi Watch is an affordable smartwatch

The Redmi Watch features a 1.4-inch HD colour display in a square dial. It comes with 120+ customisable watch faces and a screen auto-brightness feature. There is a single button on the right side for navigation and functions. The smartwatch has a buckle style watch strap and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. 

The Redmi Watch is equipped with a 24×7 heart rate sensor and sleep tracker. It comes with a sedentary reminder and professional breathing guidance. The wearable device offers seven sports modes including running, cycling, indoor swimming and more. The Redmi Watch is capable of displaying various notifications like incoming calls, messages, weather update, social media updates etc. Users can also control smart home devices with the watch.

The Redmi Watch features NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The smartwatch packs 230mAh battery unit and is capable of lasting up to 7 days on a single charge. 

Redmi Watch pricing and availability

The Redmi Watch is priced at RMB 299 (~Rs 3,358). It will be available for purchase in China on December 1st at a special price of RMB 269 (~Rs 3,020). The smartwatch is offered in Elegant Black, Ivory, Ink Blue, Cherry Blossom Powder and Pine Needle Green strap colour options. 

Xiaomi didn’t reveal India availability of the Redmi Watch but since the Redmi Band was launched in the country, we can expect the smartwatch to also debut in the coming months.
