Alongside the launch of the Redmi 10x smartphone and Redmi TV X series, Xiaomi’s sub-brand also expanded its range of laptops. The company announced its latest RedmiBook notebooks, which now come with AMD’s Ryzen 4000 processors. Xiaomi has been speculated to launch its RedmiBook series of laptops in India for a while now. Given that the company has launched this new series in China, it’s likely that the company will bring these models to India as well.
The new RedmiBooks have been launched in three display sizes, with all models sharing the same hardware and other features. Let’s find out what the RedmiBook offers out of the box.
RedmiBook 13, 14 and 16 specifications and features
The latest RedmiBook is offered in three display variants – 13-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch. All three models feature FHD+ resolution, a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and an sRGB wide colour gamut. The design of the latest offerings is similar to the previous RedmiBook models. The laptops also feature a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.
On the hardware front, the RedmiBooks are powered by AMD’s Ryzen 4000 processors based on the 7nm architecture. Xiaomi claims that the overall performance is improved by 60 percent. All three variants pack 16GB RAM and offer 512GB SSD storage. The RedmiBook features three performance modes, namely ‘Full Speed’, ‘Balanced’ and ‘Quiet’, depending on the user’s needs. Battery life on the RedmiBook is rated at 12 hours on a single charge. The laptop ships with a 65W mini power adapter, which Xiaomi claims can top up 50 percent of the battery in 30 minutes.
The RedmiBook features a smart key sensor allowing users to unlock the device in 1.2 seconds when wearing a Xiaomi smart band. Connectivity options on the laptop include two USB-A ports, three USB-C ports, one HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The price of RedmiBook starts at RMB 3,999 (~Rs 42,399). Availability outside China is not known yet.
